Some November birds

We begin with some birds at the river. First up, great blue heron:

A handful of ducks - Pekins and a Muscovy

The Muscovy alone

Some coots

Back at the house, a winter robin perches on one foot

A Carolina chickadee grumps it up

The robin goes after some winterberries

A Downy woodpecker

A female cardinal samples the berries

And the buzzards (turkey vultures, but if I can call that robin up above a robin regardless of what the British use the word for, I can call these guys buzzards despite the British buzzard being a hawk, right?) are back at the water tower
