"No Bernie supporter will vote for her" is either a lie or an untrue statement, depending on who's saying it. I know plenty of Bernie supporters, including monthly contributors, who will vote for Hillary in November without hesitation. My anecdotes are as good as yours.
I'm not entirely sure why independents are so angry about not being allowed to vote in closed primaries. As a native Tennessean, I can assure you that opening your primary invites the other party to come in and pick losing candidates - on both sides. As for independents, why should someone shape local races, or the national ones, if they're not willing to be part of the party? Serious question, not snark, even though there's no way to ask it that doesn't sound like snark.
