Darth Oy

The answer was "Leia" which means this author and editor think "Darth" is a given name!

  1. I'm not surprised, given how many people think that "Don" is the given name of Don Quixote and Don Juan, and that the given name of Israel's first prime minister was "Ben".

  2. Strictly speaking, Darth was originally Vader's first name, and not his title. He is credited as 'Lord Darth Vader' in the original 1977 version of the film, before the 1981 reissue and every subsequent release. 'Only a master of evil, Darth', is also the one time the word is used alone. However, few people realize this, so it's a bit of a tricky clue...

  3. Huh. I always think of that as more of a "Oh, really, baron?" or "take that, count!" moment.

    But surely post the first movie we're looking at it being a title. Or at least a shared religious name. What with all those Darths around.
