"Of" and Nouns

"Of" is a prepo- sition that most often shows a relation- ship of owner- ship or partitive or com- position. Generally the noun following "of" controls the other one. That's what makes this gist/summary/tease so problematic.

"The attack of four Dalits" pretty much has to mean that the dalits did the attacking. Instead, they were the victims.

The writer needed to say "attack on four Dalits".
