Cool visitors

Here are five Mute swans who have been hanging out on the river at Melton Lake Greenway the last few days. Fortunately, today wasn't a sub-freezing nightmare, so I got a good look at them, and some moderately okay photos.Looks to me like 2 adults (very orange bills) and 3 first-year birds, probably their offspring from the summer. They are very rare visitors to this area.

There is a Great blue heron in the first picture, too.
