An Olympic observation

See, I understand that they want to reward the attempt but I just don't like that a quad where they fall on their butt is worth exactly as much as a perfect triple.

  1. OTOH, his Component Score for a failed quad is likely lower than that for a perfectly executed triple of the same jump.

  3. Possibly so. But that's not what the expert commentator said last night; he said they were worth the exact same amount. He said the failed quad was worth the same as a perfect triple.
