Two Down...

On the list of pressing and urgent items that Bill Frist and the Republicans in the Senate are trying to tackle to save the nation, two of the three have gone down to defeat.

The Constitution will not be amended to prohibit gays from forming legally-binding families.

The incredibly rich will not be able to create an hereditary plutocratic caste - they'll have to pay taxes when they inherit more than $4 million dollars.

Too bad, guys...

But cheer up: you just might make flag-burning (which hasn't been done in this country for a quarter of a century anyway) unconstitutional (regardless of that pesky free speech notion).
