You gotta wonder if, despite what the current president said today, which was basically that whatever he says when he's campaigning can't be believed*, had the GOP held on, would Rummy still be gone?

And does the man mean it when he says he wants to work with Democrats - or is that more like, now that he has to work with them (as opposed to calling them traitors, for instance) he'll manage, somehow?

Only time will tell.

My argument is not that he would have behaved like this if he hadn't had his butt handed to him; my argument is that having his butt handed to him may be having a positive effect on him.
