The Week in Entertainment
Film: Babel - an intense and fascinating movie, well-acted and gorgeously shot. It was a bit difficult to keep track of exactly how the timelines were matched up, but quickly enough it became apparent that you need to just follow each story separately. Yes, it needs paying attention to, but it repays the effort.
TV: Again the usual, Heroes and Dr Who. This particular episode of the latter was oddball but I liked it a lot - the Doctor has always come and gone, but it's not really until this version (last year's and this) that we see the impact he has on those who get in the way... Mickey's being accused of Rose's (non)murder, Jackie's grief, and then this episode ...
Read: Finished A Big Boy Did It and Ran Away - not my favorite of his, but good. Read Stephen Fry's The Liar and Making History - which latter I truly love, my favorite of his so far. I have begun his Paperweight, but I think that, like Lewis Black's Nothing Sacred which I also have begun, is a read-a bit-at-a-time-book. Also, Tool & Die and Nail Biter - good entries into that series. Also Margaret Maron's Winter's Child - very good.
