McNaught Down Under
I didn't mention it but I did see Comet McNaught when it was in the Northern Hemisphere a while back. It was cool.
Here's something much cooler: the comet, the Southern Lights (Aurora Australis), and the Magellanic Clouds all together in the sky over Queenstown, New Zealand - taken by Minoru Yoneto and seen in the Aurora Gallery at Space Weather. (Note: their home page is a bit behind, so to get to the 2007 galleries use this link, or just change the month and year on one of the others.)
