The Week in Entertainment

DVD: Bubba Ho-Tep - I truly like this movie; it's such a wacky exploration of redemption. Also Stan Lee's Mosaic - where it wasn't predictable it was boring. Oh, yes - I almost forgot - The Importance of Being Earnest - the Colin Firth/Rupert Law version, which is excellent.

TV: "Release unspecial Ando!" - I adore Hiro. He alone makes Heroes worth it. But what ATM gives out hundred-dollar bills? Also House (college basketball pre-empted Veronica) - not the best episode to come back on. Veronica Mars on Sunday afternoon (I could live with this the whole season) - Jason Dougherty Dohring does such a wonderful job with Logan, and he's so damned attractive when he's smiling at the unexpected romance. But you know what they say about the course of true love... Scrubs - I was very nervous when they introduced the war; what if my favorite character turned out to hold political opinions I can't stand? But fortunately, no! It was my two least favorites! Yay! Will not watch the Super Bowl, but will pay attention to the result (go Peyton!)...

Read: The Dead Fathers Club - excellent riff on Hamlet, really - and continued with The Plausibility of Life

The Importance of Being Ernest, an excellent movie. I love Reese Witherspoon and her dotty governess in it...
