Carnival of Maryland #3
Carnival of Maryland
from the Land of Pleasant Living ®
We didn't get a large number of submissions, but what we got was choice. There's something for everyone here, I do believe, so look around and enjoy.
- Zechary White calls on us to Chat to help people - that's right: do good by chatting! What's not to like?
- Jeremy at The Voltage Gate offers us thoughts on celebrity, consumerism, and conservation for Climate Crisis Action Day
- Soccer Dad looks at a young actress seeking redemption and wonders
- Atilla at PIllage Idiot thinks the death penalty is hanging by a thread in the state, not that he's happy about it all things considered
- The Pubcrawler examines Maryland's possible smoking ban, and he's not happy either
- Jamailia at Ancestral Pile looks at where she comes from, and takes some pictures so we can see it, too
- And speaking of pictures, I have a sure sign of spring here at The Greenbelt.
- In fact, to prevent us having (gasp!) thirteen posts, I'll exercise host's privilege and show you an even surer sign
- Wash Cycle tells us about Street Smart 2007 - including just what the heck it is, besides a Good Idea
- Over at Any Given Tuesday is a heartfelt review of Happy Chichester (sounds like I might have to buy the album!)
- On the other hand, Butta tells us that in case we were wondering, it's still all about Eric Robertson - a battle of the bands
- Lenny at Mid Atlantic and Washington DC Art News invites us all to be exhibitors at the upcoming artDC fair
- Kevin at the Soundtrack Division of Old Silent Movies thinks there are more questions than answers at Bowling Brook
- And finally, monoblogue challenges me to post his look at why he thinks the Maryland GOP should stop playing - but this carnival isn't a political carnival; if he's in Maryland, and writes well, he's in.

Awesome - a lot of submissions to manage - great job!
Great reading. It's much more like a must-read magazine than a mishmash carnival. Thanks for being a great hostess.
Hey, thanks a bunch for the link! Glad you liked the review. If you do pick up the album, definitely let them know you read my review! And keep an eye on the site over the next couple of days, because I'm posting a review of the Happy Chichester show at Sonar this past Saturday with RJD2, as well as a brief interview with Happy!
