Second half - last 20 minutes before the Championship

After that ragged first half, they come back out with the two unanimous All Americans, Parker and Latta, back on the floor. Parker gets it to Anosike for two, 24-21, 19:30.

Anosike and Hornbuckle tie up Pringle. Hornbuckle passes it right over Latta's head to Bobbitt who takes it down court and after some nice under-the-basket play Parker drops two and gets fouled. 27-21 18:15.

Latta gets it back, almost, 27-26, 17:20.

Bobbitt is drilled again, and goes flying head over heels. Bobbitt sits for a bit, and McCants drops Hornbuckle. Little gets another basket, 27-28, 16:16.

Hornbuckle steals it, but Spencer can't buy a basket from outside.

Latta hits a three, 31-27, 15:10. A ten-nothing run.

Spencer again fails, and Little makes it 33-27.

Bobbitt wedges the ball, UT keeps the ball, and Hornbuckle hits her first bucket. 33-29. 14:02

Bobbitt fouls McCants, who hits one. 34-29, and then McCants runs downcourt for another. 36-29, 13:09.

Pringle grabs another rebound and runs right down for two more, 38-29 12:48 after a 10-0 run.

Timeout and Pat yells at them. Redding travels, and Pat yells more. Anosike gets it, Parker passes to Redding and she gets two, 38-31 with 11:34 to go.

Damn. Miller gets her first bucket and it's for three and it bounced in! 41-31, down by ten, 10:39.

Parker gets three rebounds and finally is fouled by Pringle. She goes to the line and hits one. 41-32.

McCants drives right down and it's 43-32, 10:17.

Little clobbers Parker, her fourth. Spencer finally hits something, 43-34, Bobbitt steals it and Hornbuckle hits another, 43-36. 9:01

Then Latta steals it and drives down and gets the bucket and a foul, 46-36 8:38.

Larkins drives past and gets two, then Hornbuckle answers. 48-38, 7:45. Hornbuckle steals it and gets the bucket, 48-40, 7:17.

Shot clock violation, and Tennessee gets it. Hornbuckle gets another rebound but Spencer still can't get them to drop. Parker gets the rebound and McCants fouls her. Back out to Tennessee, but Parker is double-teamed into travelling. Then NC turns it over again.

Pringle fouls Anosike and they're into the bonus. Anosike makes both, 48-42 5:17 to go.

Little hits Spencer - an offensive foul - and she's out. Parker has a bad pass, but Bobbitt gets it back! Pringle fouls out, sending Parker to the line! Parker makes both, and it's a four point game with four minutes 22 seconds. Anosike steals! Bobbitt brings it down, and Parker reverses under the basket and gets it! A ten-nothing run! 48-46, 3:48 to go.

Spencer fouls Latta (dang!). She hits them both (of course) and it's back to four. 50-46, 3:28.

Anosike is fouled, and she hits both of hers. 50-48, 3:20 to go.

NC burns a timeout because they can't get the ball inbound. They're down to 1, UT still has 3 left. They try again, and after 14 seconds they try but Bobbitt knocks it out. Latta barely gets it off. McCants gets the rebound, Parker gets the ball, and McCants is down - no foul, no contact, she just went down. It's almost certainly a cramp - she's out temporarily - with 2:49 to go, she's probably just out.

UT brings the ball downcourt. Hornbuckle gets it to Anosike, but Latta gets it, then Parker gets it back, then Parker tries, Anosike gets it back and drops it. 50-50 with 1:44 to go!

Anosike is fouled! She goes to the line but can't make the first one - she's a 62% shooter - and then makes the second! Woot! Tennessee by one. 1:39.

Latta tries, twice, Hornbuckle rebounds it. Time out with 19 seconds on the shot clock. 51-50 with a minute to go. NC looks tired. Hornbuckle fakes, but Pringle gets it. Then Latta loses it and Miller fouls Parker! She hits one! She hits two! 53-50 with 30.3 seconds.

Hornbuckle fouls Latta - no bonus so Latta doesn't shoot. Timeout by NC. A three point lead with 30.1 seconds.

Latta tries for three, and no! Hornbuckle fouled by Latta. 24.2 seconds. Hornbuckle at the line, misses one, but gets the second. 54-50, 24.2 seconds, UT time out.

Latta tries for 3, misses. Sidney Spencer goes to the line with 14.5 seconds, shooting 89% on the year. She makes one, then the second. 56-50.

Latta tries but fails, Miller tries to draw the foul but can't! 56-50 Final!!!

Tennessee goes to the Championship game!
