Strange

So, when we got to the theater this afternoon we discovered that they had changed the movies on Tuesday this week - the newspaper listing were wrong. After some discussion we settled on Transformers. For what it was, it wasn't bad - of course the physics was amazingly bad - but it wasn't awful.

However ... there were essentially five black people in the movie - not counting the nameless, lineless Secret Service guy who got killed right off and the soldiers ditton. The hacker and his granny and cousin, who were clowns - and the hacker didn't even really get to hack, I can't imagine what his character was even there for; the used car salesman, who was a caricature; and the stoic army sergeant with no name that I can remember and no personality or character traits or family. One black (one) in the crowd of signals analysts; no blacks in the Dept of Defense crowd; no blacks in the high school, even.

It was startling.
