I got a letter from my building manager today - well, all the tenants did. It dealt, pretty neatly, with two different issues: (1) power outages and problems arising therefrom due to lightning strikes in the big storm here a couple of days ago (which I missed, being in Tennessee), and (2) the fitness center's being closed due to renovating which is taking somewhat longer than expected.

In both instances, she opened up with a sort of all-purpose general statement ("it's important to keep lines of communication open"), and then, that having been said, she proceeded to her specifics.

Except, what she actually said was: Having that been said,.

Three times.

I cannot remember ever having seen that before.
