Cokie Roberts, Wrong Again

You know what, Cokie Roberts? Nobody gives a good goddamn that General Petraeus is a "decorated general". Nobody outside of Congress, anyhow.

You know why most Americans are upset with the Democrats? It's because they are just flat out falling over themselves to let the administration get its way. It's not because the Dems are actually challenging the military. It's not because they're too radical, it's because they're not radical enough.

Petraeus is a shill for the administration, nothing more nor less, and once a general does that he loses the ability to claim the uniform as a shield.

And the Democrats will be "feeling the heat" as long as they cave to the flag-waving.

Damn, but I hate listening to her blather. Most days I'm gone before she comes on, but every now and then I have to go to a different place on Monday, which means leaving later, and the BBC gives way to NPR and there she is.
