John Bolten - same as always

John Bolten remains a complete asshole.

He's on the BBC being interviewed and insisting that "Europe doesn't really understand the threat we all face" yet and when they do they'll follow the US because our strategy "is not a failure". He is standing firm on the "removing Saddam Hussein" equals "making it impossible for Iraq to be a safe haven for terrorism". And he's actually just said that the US goal is "defeating al Qaeda in Iraq" instead of "recreating Jeffersonian democracy". (Well, at least he knows that latter ain't happening by force.)

Why is anyone still talking to these people? They have nothing new to say, and the old stuff they repeat over and over is not true. At least Dan Damon kept calling him on his most outrageous statements, not that he changed any of them.
