Moon, Rings, and Shadows
Here, from four million kilometers, Cassini captures a moon, the rings, and shadows: of the rings and of a second moon. Janus is at the bottom of the picture, just below the ringplane, seen edge on. On the planet are the rings' shadows, arching across Saturn's northern hemisphere, and above them - past the shadow of the thin F ring - is the shadow of Mimas, looking elliptical due to its riding of the stormy atmosphere on Saturn's curves.
More details can be found at the Cassini-Huygens home page.
