The Week in Entertainment
DVD: Fantastic Four and Rise of the Silver Surfer. Yeah, I liked them. Another episode of Бухта Филипа (Philip's Bay)
TV: The usual (minus the Doctor - waaaah!) Heroes I remain profoundly uninterested in Matt; what can I say? Hiro's story is cute, but I'm afraid he's getting his heart broken. Nichele Nichols - excellent! But I'm very tired of the Irishmen. (I was surprised Peter could get a tattoo, so I was glad to see it go.) And I despise West. House - Wilson in a polo shirt and jeans ... yumm. Nice to see Chase sarcastic, too. Pushing Daisies - Oh, dear. Olive in a musical number. Stylized is one thing, but it's possible that this show could easily become annoying. It's a fine line. We'll see... Torchwood Hmmm Gwen and Owen? Well, I didn't think poor Rhys was long for her, now. And nice that it doesn't always turn out to be aliens. Ianto ... if he's going to do field work, they need to train him a bit, though this was a pretty horrific start. Good, scary episode.
Read: Допрос (Dopros, The Interrogation - there was a film version) by Ibragimbekov. He writes a quick moving story, and develops characterization through dialog; it's a fascinating read from a language-learning/study point of view, as well as the actual story itself.
