Dennis on Democracy Now!

Dennis Kucinich introduced HR 333 to impeach Cheney; it was sent to the Judiciary Committee after contentious debate (apparently the Republicans thought the debate would embarass the Democrats) where it will probably die). But it's "on the table" now.

Afterwards, Kucinich was interviewed on Democracy Now!. The interview started with HR 333 of course, but it covered much more: the Peru Free Trade Bill, and free trade in general - "it's time we stood up for workers, whether they're in America or Peru or wherever"; media consolidation - it "is having a material and adverse impact on our exercise of First Amendment rights in a democratic society" and "is a danger to our democracy"; the exclusion of himself and Mike Gravell and others from debates and functions - "this election doesn't belong to one state... look at the national polls"; the Defense Authorization Bill - "what's going on in this country?"; the UFO - "I was kind of taken aback when I was asked that question ... I saw something"; the race itself - "there's an attempt by the media to manage this election", "all I need is an opportunity to debate" and "I realize that I'm a long shot, I don't have any illusions; but I also realize that democracy is a long shot right now in America."
