SEC Championship Game
7-6, Vols leading, at halftime. A TD and conversion for UT and two FGs for LSU, all in the first quarter. Close, tight game.Both teams scored in the 3rd quarter - now 14-13, UT on top, 4th quarter. O, dammit. LSU intercepts, runs for a 20-yd TD and then for a 2-pt conversion to lead by 7. It's 21-14 with just over 9 minutes to go.
Dammit again. Ainge throws another interception on their own 7 and LSU proceeds to run for a first down. Less than two minutes to go. The Tigers want to prove that last week was a fluke, I guess...
And that's the final: 21-14, LSU.
