Double?
Sheesh. Is it just me or were both the Double Jeopardy Daily Doubles really easy today?
Nickname of a bluesman who got it from wading barefoot in a creek? Muddy Waters.
Iago warns Othello to beware of jealousy because it is 'this colorful term'? Green-eyed monster.
These are Double Jeopardys?
Maybe I should try out.

Actually, I know a couple of people who've been on it, and they say that the key isn't so much the questions (er, answers; what a silly affectation), but how well you can time your buzzer. Buzz in too soon, and not only doesn't it work, you're also locked out for a few seconds, enough to let someone else beat you to it. Buzz too late, and someone else beats you to it outright.
Do you have to wait for him to finish reading the question? I've always wondered.
Yes, that's basically it, from what I'm told (we wouldn't want to upstage Alex). If you hit it just as he finishes reading, you're in. But a syllable too soon and you're locked out and someone else gets it. Apparently, getting the hang of it is harder for some folks than for others, regardless of how well either knows the questions to the answers.
