simple arithmetic

Courtesy of the Oak Ridger (who got it from the Cleveland Plain Dealer)

Number of registered voters in the US: 175,000,000 (roughly)
Number of registered voters in Iowa & New Hampshire: 850,836

Yet already we've lost Dodd, Biden, and Richardson. And Clinton had to make a "comeback".

WTF?

The current primary system of winnowing candidates is flawed. I'd like to see a system in which all primaries were held on just 2 or 3 days over the space of 2 or 3 weeks. The season would be short and the entire country would have the opportunity to have a say in the matter. It would probably cost the candidates a lot less money too.
