Monday's Science Links
This week's heaping helping of sciency goodness:
- First up, Orac at Respectful Insolence blogs on some peer-reviewed research, taking on the anti-vaxers as he does in his own inimitable style. Oh yeah, he slaps at Eli Stone's pilot episode, too.
- Phil at Bad Astronomy posts some excellent astronomy, talking about NGC 1132, a giant galaxy-eating galaxy. Way cool photos, too.
- Darren at Tetrapod Zoology blogs on a real monster, a 12-meter (METER)-long caiman of the Miocene. You have to see the picture of the paleontologist standing beside the reconstruction.
- At Afarensis is a post wondering what we can learn from bones - in this case, just possibly when people started wearing shoes.
- Brian at Laelaps wonders what Cuvier thought that he didn't write - a provocative speculation about more people than the baron, to be sure.
