Romney and his "aiding a surrender"
From some of my friends:
M says "and let me just say that I don't think I have ever been so offended by anything said by any public figure as I have been by Romney's "concession" speech."
D hadn't read it, and when he did, he said, "I won't even start. Now even his father must be flip-flopping. In his grave."
M quoted this bit of it
"If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror."and added "It's just...breathtaking."
To which D replied (he couldn't stop himself after all):
"A surrender to terror." Nobody surrendered to terror like the Bush administration. In a war on terror, fear is a self-inflicted wound. Panicking with "security alerts" is aid and comfort to the enemy. And infringing liberties and the rule of law in the name of freedom is desertion to the enemy.D is absolutely right.

Yeah, it was pretty tacky all around. I can't stand the man. He's a fine representation of everything that's wrong with the modern GOP, and a good example of why they are going to loose this November (voters willing).
