fearsome, indeed

A friend sent me this. He says,
The TV Mailbag gets some real gems with consummate regularity, from people who either don't own a computer or haven't heard of IMDB. But yesterday yielded one of the best:
My husband and I recall a movie in which the main song was something like "Hi Lili, Hi Lili, Hi lo." We are pretty sure it was Bridge of the River Kwai. Can you confirm that?
Sandy adds,
I can't speak for the rest of you, but I confess to always being moved by the sight of a British Army regiment marching by, arms swinging, singing "A song of love is a sad song..." Truly a fearsome sound.
