Humanist Symposium
As the symposium's patron Ebonmuse says,
Garnet David of GlitteringMuse has posted the 16th Humanist Symposium, with a lovely introductory essay on the role of the arts in human culture. He argues that the act of coming to terms with mortality is what gives us the inspiration to create works of great beauty, and that a widespread lack of interest in the arts is an ominous sign for our society. Fortunately, we have the Humanist Symposium to remind us of the good things that give our life meaning.
