It's the little things

I'm watching "The Seeds of Death" - a Patrick Troughton Doctor Who from 1969. The story is set in the future some time - way in the future, shiny no-pockets outfits, transportation devices, moon bases, the whole works. But the technicians all have clipboards. All the controls are toggle switches. The microphones are hand held or built into the consoles. And everything is wired.

It's so hard to guess the things that will really take off and change everything.
