WNBA Draft

As predicted, Candace Parker was the Number 1 pick - she went to the LA Sparks. #2 was Sylvia Fowles (no surprise) by Chicago, and #3 (also no surprise) was Candice Wiggins, by Minnesota.

A bit of a surprise was that Alexis Hornbuckle was #4 - she's going to Detroit. And then Shannon Bobbitt was #15 - the first pick in the second round. She and Candace Parker will be on the same team - that should work out well for both of them. Nicky Anosike went #16, to the same team as Wiggins. Alberta Auguste went in the third round - she'll be playing in New York.
