The worm cometh...
Now I know it's spring.
It's not the geese on their nest or the squirrels mating in the courtyard, it's not the robins or redwings, it's not the blossoming pears and cherries and apples, it's not the forsythia and daffodils. It's not even baseball.
It rained pretty much all day today. And when I came home I saw - for the first time since last fall - worms on the sidewalk. Not many, not like a summer day, but still. It can rain for days, two or three, in the winter and the worms don't come out. But there they were today.
It is indeed spring.
