Okay
Look. What is the actual objective here? To put Clinton in the White House, or to keep McCain out?
I'd have a lot more respect for her if she could put the party - and the country - before her own aspirations. A campaign fought all the way to August - especially fought like this one has been - will leave a lot of voters unwilling to support the nominee, even though they acknowledge how much another four years of GOP rule will damage the country. Imagine McCain getting a Justice or two? How about generations in Iraq? Or the utter impossibility of recovering any of our prestige or clout abroad - McCain voted to allow the CIA to torture, remember. But emotions are running hot and people need time to cool down. By August, that time will be too short.
It's time to call it a day. Eye, if I may be clichéd for a moment, on the prize. Our prize, Senator, not yours personally.
