The Week in Entertainment

DVD: Neverwhere - I'd read the book, of course, but this first incarnation was good - well-acted, well-written (of course), and visually exciting.

TV: Sarah Jane Adventures - the current episode is engaging. Doctor Who - I am liking the way Donna is catalyzing a new look at the Doctor.

Read: Still reading Vladimir Solovyov's book on Putin (Путин: путеводитель для неравнодуших - Putin: putevoditel' dlya neravnodushnykh (Putin: guidebook for the non-indifferent). It's a fascinating blend of justification, worship, and occasional glimpses of an understanding that things aren't actually so rosy...

Where are you finding the new "Doctor Who" series?

It's on SciFri Friday nights - Sarah Jane 8-9, the Doctor 9-10, and repeats of the Doctor at 11.

I was really glad when I saw Sarah Jane had her own series. Her episode of Doctor Who had a soft tragedy to it; it's nice to think that her life goes on and has interesting things in it!

I wish we had access to the new Doctor Who series here in New Zealand, though.
