Verbing Weirds Language only if you're expecting it to work in a simple way. This is a special case of the more general truth that Language Weirds.

In the College Park Metro park, the path goes between a stand of cattails and a little pond - a smallish patch of water, more accurately - and a number of tall trees. This male redwing spends a lot of his day in the tree, watching over the cattails. Here are some shots of him - and the reason he spends his time as he does.
I used to teach Russian and Ukrainian, and some basic English, to civil servants. Now I teach Russian at a local continued-learning institute. I dabble in Gaelic and Welsh.
