The Week in Entertainment
I know this is late, but I'm on vacation... It's still just up through Sunday, though.
Film: Kung-Fu Panda, which I did enjoy. I particularly liked the artwork in Po's dream. Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman are both good. But I have to wonder why Viper didn't just bite Tai-Lung?
DVD: Charlie Chan in London - quite a good mystery still, didn't figure it out till almost the end.
TV: Damn. Steven Moffat can write. The Doctor. Wow. Two great quotes of many: Donna: "How are you?" The Doctor: "I'm all right." Donna: "Is all right special Time Lord code for rally not all right at all?" And this one: "You just killed somebody I like and that is not a safe place to stand. I'm the Doctor, and you're in the biggest library in the Universe. Look. Me. Up." (After which, of course, they back off...)
Read: Richard Marsh, The Seen and the Unseen, an uneven collection of mostly pretty good 'supernatural' stories - ghosts and whatnot from 1905. Finished Pinker's The Stuff of Thought, which was fascinating.
