School starts now! Students in Maryland need your help

This is one of my favorite charities - it's fun and you make a big difference right away - and see it.

It's easy: go to the site and pick a project - or a school - and then donate money. That link goes to schools in Maryland, but you can give anywhere in the US. You can pick the kind of school, the percentage of low-income kids, the kind of project (science, math, reading, ESL - you name it).

After you give, you'll get a letter from the teacher. And later you'll get letters from the kids, usually with pictures. It's quick and easy and it makes you feel good (after you get over how many teachers need really not much cash to do their jobs well).
