Oh my. Did John McCain just tell these people that they had probably never heard of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae before? Did he just blame people who took out loans "they could never afford to pay back" while talking to undecided voters - in an answer to a guy who said lots of people he knows are in trouble?

And has he really got the gall to stand there and talk about how wonderful and productive and strong the American worker is, when he and his party have presided over the flattening of wages and the refusal to raise the minimum wage?

Well, clearly Brokaw has no control and they're never going to be on three minutes a question (or five with the "discussion" period). Also he's not going to hold them to the topic, either. And it's boring. (How can it be boring? I guess McCain realizes that dark hints of treason won't play in this venue, and this crowd can't be whipped into a frenzy...) And I must get up at 5. So, I think I'm done. I'll watch the DVR if it seems warranted.
