Babbling Mavericks

We've all seen and heard just how fucking incoherent Sarah Palin can be, and we've (some of us) wondered how McCain's camp can apparently not have noticed.

Well, it's simple. McCain can be almost as bad. Here he is talking to the Des Moines Register about health care. The question was, is it true that for his entire adult life he'd been covered by a taxpayer-financed health-care plan.
Uh—I was out of the military for a while before I—I went to Congress. But—uh—you know that's an interesting statement isn't it? Um—so—and I have never—um—been an astronaut, but I think I know the challenges of space, And I've never uh done a lot of things in my life that I think I am familiar with. I have always been a free enterprise person who thinks families make the best choices for themselves."
Oh - in case we had forgotten - he then added this: "I did go a period of time when the health care wasn't very good." (Of course, he was still covered...)

What? Unfair to pick one quote? Okay, how about this one (from the first debate):
I think the lessons of Iraq are very clear, that you cannot have a failed strategy that will then cause you to nearly lose a conflict. Our initial military success, we went into Baghdad and everybody celebrating, and then the war was very badly mishandled.
