The Week in Entertainment

Film: The Secret Life of Bees - excellent. Well-acted, and beautifully shot.

DVD: Bender's Game. It's Futurama. What more could you want?

TV: Eleventh Hour - you know, I am now officially fed to the eyeteeth with the subplot of "man infected with horrible disease escapes and infects others because authorities don't tell him he's sick". Don't do it again, okay? Evolve (Venom) - dialog a bit over the top (twisting their venom to serve a diabolical purpose) and (Speed) which had some really good footage in it. Sanctuary - this program continues to be kind of ... predictable. I kept wanting to quote Guy from Galaxy Quest: "Sure, they're cute now! But pretty soon they're going to turn into something horrible!" I'm not sure how much longer I'll keep watching this one. It's just relatively boring. Especially since I watched Numb3rs and liked it - I'll grab some episodes off On Demand and see.

Read: Way Station (reminded of it by Simak's birthday a few weeks back). What's Liberal about the Liberal Arts? Excellent - though my favorite part are the chapters of literary criticism, it's all good. Watched election stuff, of course (w00t!) and was very glad they could call it so early - no staying up till 3 and trying to teach at 8 this year!
