God wants most of us in hell

A raving lunatic using the name Armageddon Through To You posted a long screed over at John Evo's place. He started by trotting out that tired old Pascal's Wager (not that he called it that; I'm sure he thinks he came up with it, or wants us to think that). He doesn't consider that if the Norse gods are real, and he doesn't accept them, he has no chance of Valhalla when he dies. Or that if the Greek gods are real, he'll wander Hades forever instead of the Elysian Fields. And so on pretty much ad infinitum.

He then rambled on about all sorts of craziness, such as this:
Did you know that as evidence to indicate that Israel is the epicenter of the world from God's point of view is the fact that languages to the west of Israel are written and read from left to right as if pointing to Israel, and languages from countries to the east of Israel are written and read from right to left, again as though pointing to Israel. Just a coincidence, you say? I think not.
I mean, honestly. Just a quick falsification: Japanese is written top to bottom, and Devanagri and Brāhmī from left to right.

He has lots more (Did you know that the seven Churches mentioned at the beginning of the Book of Revelation describe the seven stages the Church will go through?) - go on and read it. You'll be amazed. He ends by warning all who "are Catholic, or one who subscribes to the emergent Church or seeker-friendly Church movement" to compare their church with "the actual bible" because they, too, are going straight to hell.

No, I'm wrong. He ends with this:
Well, am I getting through to you? If not, the answer might be explained in the response given by Jesus Christ in his Olivet discourse when he was asked by his disciples why he spoke the way he did (in parables, etc.) in the book of Matthew 13:10-16. What Jesus said could have easily been paraphrased more clearly as "so that the damned won't get it". Why did Christ respond the way he did when asked why he spoke this way? Is there something about pride (the bible says there is) that closes one's heart to seeing or hearing the messages supernaturally hidden in bible parables, models, typologies, and similes, etc.? That should give you something to think about, but don't take too long. Time is now very short.
Yes, that one. We don't get it because we're damned. And we're damned before we hear it. Jesus speaks in code "so the damned won't get it" and that can only mean that the damned are already damned, that Jesus is keeping secrets from most of us. It's not our pride keeping us from unscrambling those "supernaturally hidden messages" - it's Jesus. It's God.

Armageddon Getting Through To You says atheists can blame pride for their attitude. I think we can blame God.

(Or I would, you know.)

Yeah, I got that "Armageddon Through To You" rant spam too, on this post. Some of my commenters had fun with it. ;^)

I went through 7 stages with people like that. I don't quite remember all of them (the stages) but one was ignoring them, one was baiting them, one was pitying them. Now I just basically hope that their beliefs bring them the comfort they strive for, and wish to every deity past and present that these zealots leave me and my rights alone.
