Happy Birthday, Edgar

ERB and his worlds
Born today in 1875, Edgar Rice Burroughs ...

Tarzan, Barsoom, Venus, Pellucidar Professor Challenger...

All those great impossible adventures of my childhood.

Happy memories.

Thanks for them...

I believe credit for Professor Challenger goes to Arthur Conan Doyle.

With regards to Challenger, you may be thinking of Burroughs' later Caspak trilogy of books, which were just as influential as Doyle's. Also, don't forget about Burroughs' "Hollow Earth" (Pellucidar) series!
