The Week in Entertainment
DVD: Milk, which I had managed to miss in the theaters. Man, Sean Penn is brilliant in this. And I had managed to repress the images of Anita Bryant's repulsive coast-to-coast campaigning, though I remember very clearly turning to Brazilian orange juice!
TV: The Middle, funny enough but those puppies were not newborn! Modern Family - the look on Mitchell's face when Cam and Lily were watching Scarface - and them calling the firemen. Funny stuff. Better Off Ted - hysterical. Phil and Lem trying to work with Veronica, so funny. And the episode with the dead guy - and the company trying to use it to make 14-hour days the new norm - and Lem's trying to become popular - and the inspirational videos in the elevator... And another Veridian Dynamics commercial! I'm so glad Ted is back! The Scrubs reboot actually was good - this might bode well, or might be a fluke, but we'll see. Of course, that they pair it with Ted means I'll probably at least have it on... Numbers, an episode that managed to trick me - no, not into thinking the lottery cop was guilty, that was obvious, but I did have the motive wrong for about three-quarters of the show. Nice.
