Then who was???

In the print edition of the local paper (though not the on-line), the "compiled from wire reports" story on the AT&T National devoted two of its eight paragraphs to the leader, Justin Rose, and one to the local boys (Garrett Willis, who made the cut, and Tory Matteson, who didn't). The other five went to (how'd you guess?) Tiger. Including this sentence:

He was at 3-over 143, which made the cut on the number, although he was never in serious danger of going home early.

Oh, really?

C'mon, guys. He one-putted five greens Friday. If he'd two-putted even one of those, he'd have missed the cut. Haven't we figured out that he's not a god? Doesn't Justin Rose, whose Friday round was bogey-free and the best (so far) of the tournament, deserve a little more ink?
