iLies
The iPhone ad says
"If you don't have an iPhone, you don't have iBooks. So you don't have your favorite books right in your pocket. And you don't have the iBookstore, an entire bookstore right in your pocket. So whether you're looking for a certain author or a New York Times bestseller, a good book is only a tap away. Yep, if you don't have an iPhone, well, you don't have an iPhone."See, I don't have an iPhone. So I don't have iBooks or the iBookstore. But guess what?
I have Kindle for BlackBerry. (Which is free.) So I do have my favorite books right in my pocket, even if they're not iBooks. And I have the Kindle store app, so I do have an entire bookstore, ditto.
Now, they weasel around the iBookstore line. But they specifically say
"If you don't have an iPhone, you don't have iBooks. So you don't have your favorite books right in your pocket."And that's just a lie.

Right, and we never see adverts lie.
As my father used to say (and he was serious!): "They couldn't say it if it weren't true."
Of course we do. But they're usually not quite that outright.
