Getting the Cute in a Row

What a bunch of cute! A real spirit lifter, first thing in the morning on a Friday. Mom and her babies out in the little trickle of water that runs into a branch of a creek that runs into the Little Patuxent - they're right at the Metro stop on 197. Don't know if it's the same duck, but some mallard's been raising a brood in that vicinity for a number of years now.

This morning they were running and scattering and tumbling all over the place. Finally mom managed to get them in a row and headed for the bigger water, away from the growing number of cars and commuters...
