Home sweet home

Coming a bit later than the robins to nesting, a pair of Baltimore orioles are building their lovely basket nest lower than usual. Most years it can't be seen until fall, when the leaves disappear, but this year it's actually hanging off one of the lowest branches and quite visible. The male sings loudly and sweetly off the high branches, and every now and then the yellow female shows up as well.
