A shadow in the sky
Wow. Just ... wow.
Mt Ranier definitely dominates the landscape when it's out. But in the fall and early winter, as the sun moves towards the south, Ranier can also dominate the dawn sky - especially with clouds to help. At more than 14,000 feet, when the top of the mountain blocks the sun's first rays, the shadow goes on ... forever, it looks like. Just wow.
