Once again, Obama demonstrates that he's as big a fan of the imperial presidency and the Endless War as Bush ever was, and not so big a fan of the constitution and civil liberties.

White House statements explaining why Mr. Obama has agreed to sign the bill (after he threatened a veto) note that it does not impinge on executive authority. As long as that’s secure, he simply does not seem to care about technicalities like the constitution.This bill is not just a Bad Idea, it is a Very Bad Idea Indeed.
