The Week in Entertainment

DVD: Captain America, which was a very satisfying movie of its genre. Chris Evans does a fine job.

TV: Once Upon a Time - character backstories are interesting, but I'm wondering when we find out who the sheriff was. Otherwise, except for some game shows, didn't really watch much this week...

Read: Finished Murakami's tremendous novel, 1Q84. It's a stunning book, one I didn't want to read in ten-minute bites, and absolutely worth the three-year wait for it. Here's a review from the NYT Review of Books to whet your appetite a little more. Also read Margaret Maron's Three-Day Town, in which she tries to merge her Deborah Knott and Sigrid Harald series, with only partial success.
