Yay, Washington State!

Just got a news flash: Washington's legislature has passed a bill legalizing same-sex marriage. The governor has promised to sign it, so Washington will join DC and six other states in marriage equality.

(My state of Maryland may step up this year; Governor O'Malley is pushing it hard.)

I love this quote:

“Mr. Speaker, Washington State has truly separated God from government,” warned Rep. Jim McCune, R-Graham.

That's the point, guy. That's the whole point.
