A Ton of Annoyance
This just drives me crazy. If he spelled it "Wimbleton" he would get a pass, but because of his accent and devoiced D, he gets the question wrong.
Note to self: if I get on that show, overly enunciate every answer, like a shin-ing jew-el on a brace-let.
edited a few minutes later: Well, shut my mouth. They just penalized the guy who stuck an extra letter into Iberians. Maybe they're changing their laissez-faire attitude toward spelling?

I too noticed both of those answers, or should I say "questions," last night. Do you suppose they would've given "Ibernians"-guy credit if the correct answer had been "Hibernians" rather than "Iberians"? I wondered if he was trying to finesse his answer in order to cover two possibilities -- or maybe he just mis-wrote "Iberian" and didn't have time to cross out the offending "n."
Or maybe "Jeopardy!" needs less ambiguous clues...
He said that he first put Hibernians and tried to change it to Iberians - he did cross out the H... I think he should have been given it, since he told Alex he was trying to write "Iberians".
